Carbo Veg.

Carbo veg. is derived from vegetable charcoal made from beech, birch or poplar wood. In the past, vegetable charcoal was used to absorb gases to help relieve flatulence.

Treatment Use

Carbo veg. is useful when any of the following are indicated:

Mental and emotional aspects

  • Loss of memory
  • Fear of strangers
  • Claustrophobia
  • Acute shock
  • Extreme mental exhaustion
  • Feelings of mental and emotional weakness.

Physical aspects

  • Poor circulation
  • Varicose veins
  • Indigestion
  • Flatulence
  • Feelings of abdominal bloating (even after eating only small amounts)
  • Headaches after too much food Headaches with sickness
  • Coughing
  • Hoarseness and dryness of the throat
  • Nosebleeds
  • Prolonged illness, leaving feelings of exhaustion.

Modalities

  • Better: for cool, fresh air .
  • Worse: for fatty foods; in the evening; for lying down

Treatment Tips

A very good remedy for feelings of overtiredness and being run down. Useful after any operation or illness. Good for speeding a slow recovery. Good for chronic complaints or conditions.
