Chamomilla

Chamomilla is derived from the whole, fresh chamomile plant. Chamomile has been used for centuries because of its calming, soothing and healing abilities, particularly in the treatment of skin conditions.

Treatment Use

Chamomilla is useful when any of the following are indicated:

Mental and emotional aspects

  • Bad temper and anger when unwell
  • Irritability and whining
  • Impatience
  • Oversensitivity, which can lead to short- tempered behaviour towards loved ones
  • Difficult to satisfy

Physical aspects

  • Earache
  • Toothache
  • Insomnia
  • All skin conditions including eczema
  • Inflamed skin Sleeplessness and colic in children
  • Diarrhea
  • Coughing, particularly at night

Modalities

  • Better:for mild weather.
  • Worse: for heat; for cold winds or fresh air; when angry.

Treatment Tips

Especially good remedy for the treatment of children or babies. Chamomilla is a good bedtime remedy for a baby. Teething problems or colic may cause the baby to cry out and be restless. Chamomilla will help the baby to calm down and sleep.
