Merc. Sol.

Merc. sol. is derived from the black oxide of mercury.

Treatment Use

Merc. sol. is useful when any of the following are indicated:

Mental and emotional aspects

• Slowness and sluggishness of thought
• Distrust of others
• Fear of burglary and abuse
• Poor memory and difficulty in recall
• Mental and emotional weakness and fatigue
• Chronic fatigue syndrome
• Restlessness and anxiety
• Deep insecurity
• Suspiciousness
• Sensitivity to criticism
• Quick, sudden and aggressive temper
• Lack of willpower
• Tendency to be arrogant
• Emotional repression.

Physical aspects

• Stammering
• Dribbling from the mouth when sleeping
• Cold sores
• Conjunctivitis with discharge
• Spasmodic coughs
• Joint pain
• Catarrh
• Scalp problems, eruptions and crustiness of the scalp
• Bed sores.

Modalities

• Better: for rest in moderate temperatures.
• Worse: at night; for heat or changes in temperature.
