Home Remedies For ShockHot, sweet tea was always thought to be a restorative remedy for shock, and in fact honey added to any hot drink is a great healer. Basil and sage tea sweetened with honey is a great cure for someone who has experienced a mild shock. Chamomile tea is also useful in this situation because it acts as a gentle sedative and therefore eases tension. Another domestic remedy for depression is a tea made of Indian basil (tulsi) and sage. Use 1/4 teaspoon tulsi and 1/2 teaspoon of sage per cup of hot water; drink twice a day. Orange blossom in hot water is believed to relieve anxiety. Not only can it be given to a patient as a kind of infusion, orange blossom water has a further point in its favour; a flannel can be steeped in the liquid to cool a patient down. Its soothing and refreshing properties will help to restore calm. Boil some seeds of cardamom in water with tea. It will give a very pleasing aroma to the tea. |
