It should be pestled in lemon Juice and slightly heated. A cotton swab should be soaked in this lotion and placed in the cavity of the tooth. It will relieve pain quickly. Native Americans used to apply the mashed green leaves, or root of the willow as a poultice for toothache. You could make a mouthwash of vinegar and salt to ease the pain. Apply ground black pepper and fresh ginger to a piece of gauze and pack the tooth with it. If you are not worried about being antisocial, you could plug a cavity with cotton wool soaked in onion or garlic juice. It will disinfect the whole area and give some relief from the pain. You could try putting a slice of lightly boiled apple between the teeth to help to relieve the pain of toothache. Chew a ginger piece slowly with the aching tooth/teeth to release its juice and leave there for half an hour. Repeat 2-3 times. Gargle with Listerine Antiseptic.
