Soak a small pad of cotton wool in tincture of marigold and press it to the sore gum or bad tooth. Make a mouthwash out of marigold or agrimony, boiled in water and left to cool. A tincture of lavender leaves rubbed onto the gums acts as an excellent antiseptic, or you could gargle with a cooled infusion of lavender leaves mixed with honey. You can make your own natural tooth powder by mixing two parts of bicarbonate of soda to one part salt. If you have none to hand, you could even try cleaning your teeth with raw lemon. |
